Setting Goals
My goal for the week is this: I may not by any means look at job ads (in the paper, on the internet, or otherwise).
It's been a distraction in the past.
A fellow Xangan (and exam-taker) clear across the country summed it up well: I will eventually get this.
This morning I was pondering that perhaps it will take me being in a different place in my life to actually surmount this hurdle. I think that a little personal success unrelated to this endeavor would be helpful, as well as getting the H out of my parents' house. All of which are related to self-esteem and self-worth.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still trucking along for next week. But I always hope for the best and expect the worst.
Finally my dad has installed the Turbo Tax on his computer. It's time to take a break to do my taxes (and watch Martha).*****Edit*****
Taxes are done, just need to be mailed. I contemplated the e-file option, but at $16.95 vs. Postage (whatever the going rate for a stamp is these days), the postage stamps won.I went and got my ashes today and stopped off to pick up lunch on my way home. While I waited for my order, I skipped over to my hair salon to make an appointment for some LONG overdue post-exam hairapy. Unfortunately, I could only get in for a haircut (although I need some color, too). Anyway, the girl at the counter almost praised me for getting my ashes already and engaged me in a conversation about Lent, which ended in asking me what I'm giving up for Lent. I thought that was a little odd, mostly because I don't know her from Eve. And really, it's a rather personal act of penance and personal renewal, not necessary to share with a complete stranger. So I didn't. But I'll give you all a hint: it leans more towards the personal renewal aspect.

My vice is fiddling with my resume when I should be studying. *hugs* We'll get through this!
you can do it!
I will be thinking about you this week as you prepare for "the test"....I know you are frustrated...but think of how PROUD you will be when you pass and can kiss the bar goodbye!!! Hang in there!!!!
Went in to prep a witness for a deposition on Wednesday and handed her a wet paper towel to clean the "smudge" off her forehead. She looked at me like I was a moron.
And I am married to a Catholic chick. Nice, huh?
Since your current post doesnt want to let me leave a comment....I will try here....could I suggest Vitamin C and Garlic to go along with your other remedies??? Some tylenol might not be a bad idea either....dont want this turning into something that will interfere with the old grey matter on Tues!!! Best of luck to you...I will be keeping you in my prayers!!
Good luck! I hope you are feeling better. Lots of sleep would help as well.
Where did squeakysoul go??
hehe nevermind, your link didn't have the "u", so it looked like the page wasn't valid.
