  • I've secured a loaner from a local Honda dealership Saturday!  I was feeling like I couldn't make a real decision on a car based on the measly 10 minute-long basic test drive.  First I looked to rent a CR-V for a weekend.  No luck finding a rental company that advertises having CR-Vs in their fleets.  So I went straight to the source and a dealer set me up to twst drive one "for 2-3 hours."  If by "2-3 hours" they mean half a day, then yes--2-3 hours!

    I'm definitely excited about that!  But what makes it more exciting...

    ...Is that I get to drive my girls around on Saturday to go bridesmaid dress shopping!  We're driving a ways away from home to go looking and trying.  The first place I found that actually had a particular style that I liked happened to be a ways away.  And I want to see what I like in person on my girls' girls!

    So we're driving.  In a loaner CR-V.  Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

    I told my folks about the car arrangements and my do-gooder mom says "won't they be expecting it back by noon, one o'clock?"  Of COURSE they will, but they won't get it!  Dad agreed with me: the dealership want to make a sale, they want me to be happy.  (Besides, they know how to track me down and harrass me anyway.)

    Did I mention I'm excited?

  • How fun!!!  That's the car my parents want me to get to replace my ancient Honda Civic hatchback.  Tell me how it drives!  I only sat in it and it was nice and roomy.

    Have fun this weekend bridesmaids dress shopping!!
